Connects standards to scenarios
Task-based simulations do not test whether you memorised the standard. Vidia explains the rule through the scenario, then asks you to apply it somewhere new.
Four sections, months apart, while you are working full time. The real enemy is not difficulty — it is decay. Vidia tracks what you learned in FAR back in March and brings it back before it costs you in the exam room.
Since the CPA Evolution model, every candidate passes the same three Core sections and then chooses one Discipline. That choice shapes months of study, so it is worth making deliberately rather than by default.
Note · Each section needs a scaled score of 75 to pass. BAR extends FAR, and TCP extends REG — so if one of those Core sections went well, the matching Discipline usually carries less new material for you.
Built for the part nobody warns you about: holding four sections’ worth of material in your head across a year.

Consolidations shaky but revenue recognition solid? Your next FAR session reflects that, instead of marching through the blueprint in order.
The core CPA problem is forgetting section one while studying section three. Vidia schedules review of older material exactly as it starts to fade.
Once your multiple-choice accuracy on a topic holds, Vidia moves you into the harder task-based simulations where the real points are.
It plans against the hours you actually have on a work night, and flags early when your target date and your available time no longer agree.
Pick your section order and your sitting dates. Vidia builds the path and keeps the earlier sections alive while you study the next one.
Section sequence and target dates. Vidia flags where your Discipline choice can reuse Core work you have already done.
A diagnostic per section separates what is genuinely solid from what you can only recognise on a multiple-choice list.
Sessions sized to a weeknight, weighted toward weak topics, mixed with review of earlier sections.
As accuracy holds, practice shifts to task-based simulations and full timed rehearsals.
The established review courses have enormous question banks and years of pass-rate data. Here is where each one earns its price, and where Vidia is different.

Under CPA Evolution you pass three Core sections — AUD, FAR, and REG — plus one Discipline of your choice: BAR, ISC, or TCP. Four sections in total, each four hours, each needing a scaled score of 75.
It usually follows the Core section that went best. BAR extends FAR, so it suits candidates strong in financial reporting. TCP extends REG and suits tax-leaning candidates. ISC fits people with audit, IT, or advisory exposure. Vidia can look at your Core performance and tell you which one carries the least new material for you.
Most candidates plan roughly 300 to 400 total hours across all four sections, spread over several months to a year. The constraint is rarely the hours — it is retaining section one while sitting section four, which is the specific problem Vidia is built for.
For most candidates, no, and we would rather say so plainly. Those courses have very large official-style question banks and years of pass-rate data. Vidia is the adaptive layer: it decides what you study tonight, explains what you missed, and keeps older sections from fading.
Simulations reward applying a standard to an unfamiliar fact pattern, so Vidia teaches through scenarios rather than definitions, then moves you into simulation-style practice once your accuracy on the underlying topic holds.
